We are fortunate that Dirk Parks has led our Alumni Scholarship Fund the last 20 years! He always says, “The more we raise, the more scholarships we can give away! My 20-year saying remains the same: if you want me out of your business or off your porch, write me a check!” The Alumni Scholarship Fund is currently seeking donations for 2024. This will be the 21st year of giving scholarships and any amount of money raised this year should put the Alumni Scholarship fund over the $500,000 pinnacle.
Due to health issues from Parkinson’s Disease, Dirk is unable to collect the funds for the Alumni Scholarships this year. However, he has challenged the community to raise more money than he ever did in his twenty years of securing funds for our students.
Since 2003, Dirk has worked diligently to initiate and build the HCHS Alumni Scholarship program. Many scholarships have been made available to Hill City High School graduating students over the years thanks to his efforts. Let’s help keep this program alive for Dirk and for our students and keep the dough rolling in!
